Form Strategic Alliances and FILL Your Practice

Just ONE Strategic Alliance can literally FILL your practice.  Here's how...

In this article, we are very excited to share with you a client-generation strategy that in-and-of-itself can literally FILL your private practice.

How powerful is it?  Well, perhaps the best way to show you the beauty of Strategic Alliances is to share a success story or two.

We love this one from Michael Charest.  Michael is a top marketing guru for the coaching industry.

A bit of interesting history:  Michael is a key part of the Helping The Helper story.  In fact, he originally wrote many of the marketing guidelines in this program.

We loved his wisdom and asked if we could use his top-rated practice-building strategies (why reinvent a great wheel?) to help others outside of coaching benefit from them.  He said yes!  Then we customized it SPECIFICALLY for the wellness professional...  to create the Helping The Helper PracticeBuilders program for you - and here we are today.

History aside, the point is - you KNOW Michael knows his stuff.

But even Michael himself was struggling when he first started out as a professional coach! Michael writes:

"When I first launched my coaching practice I went from having a 6-figure salary to having a hard time making the rent. Then one night I stumbled upon a wellness center called Inside Out.  I found out that the center's founder is a chiropractor, Dr David Birdsall, who was (and is) on a mission to help people live lives of health, wellness and self-love. I decided to attend a health lecture Dr Birdsall gave the next evening. Upon conclusion of the lecture, I approached the Doctor and explained my business and vision as a coach. I told him that we shared congruent philosophies and was sure there was something we could do together. Nothing formal, just a nice friendly talk.  After several meetings to get to know one another and discuss strategy, we decided that I would coach out of the Inside Out Center. He paid me a consulting fee to help with the development of his business (my former job as a country-club manager gave me a lot of experience in that!) and referred me 12 clients within 6 weeks. I earned over $50,000 through that one affiliation with Inside Out. More importantly, I still have a new best friend and extended family."

Michael's story shows that you never know what is possible until you go out and DO SOMETHING!  You are in this profession because you were called to be. You will be rewarded in mysterious ways WHEN YOU TAKE ACTION, and that action might mean reaching out and creating collaborations with others, because quite frankly, the best way to grow your practice is to NOT DO IT ALONE.

You shouldn't need to "tough it out" and in fact, it is best if you don't! Staying isolated, staying a secret, will never serve you and it will never help you serve your clients and community. So reach out and form strategic alliances to help your practice.  There are other special people like Dr. Birdsall out there ready for you to approach them!

Here's another Strategic Alliance Success Story. We got this from "LP", a very successful acupuncturist who is on our advisory board at HTH. LP writes,

"In the first year of my practice, I was working as an associate acupuncturist at a clinic in Los Angeles, and met a well-known cardiologist there.  He had just opened a natural healing center in the north of the state, and had been looking for an acupuncturist to rent to. He invited me to move north and operate out of the Center. I would pay a lowered rent and he would get a percentage of my revenue. In exchange, he would refer his cardiology patients to me and introduce me to the medical community in town. I also provided side services like teaching classes for the massage therapy school at the Center, and meditation classes for his cardiac patients. Because the collaboration was structured and concrete, I felt safe to relocate and start my own practice in a new town.  It was a good move, because I built a 6-figure practice within a year and a half!"

Thanks for letting us share that, LP!

Dear readers: you too can leverage the power of collaborative relationships and create a triple-win alliance that brings you a steady stream of referrals.

Now, you may think you have already tried creating "alliances" like this. You have heard the terms before... partnerships, alliances, circles of influence, Team 100, referral networks, etc. This is not unique. But the type of Strategic Alliance we describe below and teach you in the HTH PracticeBuilders system IS unique, because it asks you to "go to the next level".
Here and now, we challenge you to go to that next level. We challenge you to create more formal, structured business relationships that are a "triple win"... Here's what we mean by triple-win:

ONE:  You win, as you get multiple clients from little or no marketing once the alliance is formed.  Like any successful relationship, it may take a bit of time and luck to set up, but it's worth it.

TWO:  The strategic alliance partner wins from the goodwill received as a result of providing an incredible service (your wellness work) to his clients. The alliance partner can also receive a referral fee from you, or if the partner doesn't want or can't ethically accept referral fees, you can provide value in other ways (see our tip sheet below for ideas).

THREE:  Perhaps best of all, the client wins, as he/she gets introduced to the incredible benefits of your wellness services through a trusted source, whereas he/she may not have otherwise had that opportunity.

In a separate article, we've provided a TIP SHEET below to help guide you in building better Strategic Alliances. We hope you find them a helpful introduction on using the Strategic Alliances "Engine" strategy to power your wellness Marketing Train.

I will state, as I always do, that this marketing strategy, while simple and powerful, must be designed properly using detailed, comprehensive guidelines. A newsletter article simply cannot do justice to it.

Therefore, I encourage you to take the full Helping The Helper PracticeBuilders program, as this is one of 20 concepts we fully teach you so that you may fill your practice. We have an entire 30+ page workbook that will guide you on how to approach potential Strategic Alliance partners and how to structure a successful alliance.

Members can download the workbook right now by visiting the HTH Virtual U. download page, and get personal help on implementing this key strategy on our members-only Discussion Forum.

Now get out there, take a deep breath, approach a wellness center or established practitioner you would love to work with, and create some truly powerful alliances that will help your business, help your ally, and best of all... help you help the world!
